Description
Noah Lnuks delivers the raw and uncut truth of some of the deepest thoughts and dilemmas of street individuals feeling a spiritual tug on their lives. This book is that slap in the face that is designed to draw gangsters and the hip-hop community into a relationship with God. Noah’s experience in the streets and prison gives first-hand knowledge and an intimate perspective that real urban life must recognize.
He is a native of Dallas, Texas, and resided in West Dallas notoriously known as West Dino during his former years as a gangster. Despite being raised in a household that emphasized Christianity and education he chose the path of the dope game, gang banging, and eventually did twenty years in prison for one of several homicides. If there is such a thing as radical Christianity, this is it. Don’t say you weren’t warned. There is no traditional preaching and alter calling in this book, just powerful discussion that an inquisitive person would love to entertain. Fortune would have it these essays were written over a long course of time that reveal Noah’s progress from a saved thug to a more sanctified Christ-like individual. Therefore, the first two essays (23/91 Warriors’ Testimonies and Is There a Heaven for a Thug) even retain profanity and are designated under the section entitled Phase 1, but the final two essays show a man who no longer speaks as such and are located in the section designated as Phase 2. Phase one could not be left out so that the authenticity would remain real to the streets and not sugar- coated, for if it were sugar- coated it would not be his truth and that would be a lie. So profound is the change in Noah’s life that the final discussion The Jesus Theory is recommended for all Christians, even the most holy. Essentially what developed is a record of the perspectives Noah had as he progressed into a more developed Christian. This is a walk with him through his mind, and his mind has proven quite interesting. So embark with him and enjoy the journey.
There is never a dull moment.
